FIS Nordic Combined World Cup

15. - 17. December 2017 in Ramsau am Dachstein

Venue and also a training center to prepare for the world cup season.

The cross-country skiing region of Ramsau am Dachstein in Styria, started to be a fixed spot in the calendar of the Nordic combined athletes for the FIS World Cup, after the Nordic world championship 1999. In mid-December the world’s top athletes like Seidl, Gruber, Denifl, Orter, Rydzek, Frenzel, Riessle, Kokslien, Watabe, Moan and many more, find themselves at the HS 98 world championship ski jumping arena and at the cross-country skiing trails in Ramsau am Dachstein.

Since 2016 there is a new member in the team of the Austrian world cup team, the young Franz Josef Rehrl from Ramsau. In Liberec he achieved already great success at the junior world championships 2013. He won the silver medal in the team competition and accomplished rank 5 and 6 in the individual competition. In the winter of 2016/17, he established himself firmly on the top level and took three Top Ten ranks, as well as a first victory in a jumping part. Franz Josef Rehrl finished on the 19th place in the overall ranking this winter.
