Dachstein Glacier region
1,000 m above the mountain pastures at an altitude of 2,700 m above sea level lies Austria's most eastern glacier. Easily accessible with the Dachstein cable car (from Türlwand - at the end of the Dachstein road).
The mountain station Hunerkogel boasts a fantastic 360° panorama!

Easy walk on a prepared snow path on the Hallstätter Glacier at an altitude of 2,700 m above sea level. The Dachstein Glacier is Austria's easternmost glacier.
Markings:
Walk to the Dachsteinwarte - Seetalerhütte. This path is prepared daily by a wide snow cat. Snow poles along the path.
Walking time:
approx. 2 hrs. for return walk, pure walking time 45 minutes each way.

is the top station of the Dachstein Glacier cable car at Hunerkogel.
The bottom station "Türlwand" can be reached by car or bus along the Dachstein road (toll), 1,700 m above sea level.
The Dachstein Glacier cable car operates daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 1,000 m height difference,
journey takes 7-8 minutes.
Characteristics:
easy walk on snow (good boots recommended, sun cream, sun glasses, wind protection), 360° panoramic view from the top station, fabulous views. The Dindlkolk is the largest scour in the Eastern Alps - impressive sickle-shaped snow formation. The Dachsteinwarte boasts incredible long-distance views and a unique insight into the famous Dachstein Südwand (south face).
Plus the exit of the most popular Dachstein climbing trail - the Johann.
