FURTHER ACTIVITIES IN THE SPORTS RESORT OF RAMSAU
Paragliding
Ever since the XALPS, the most extreme paragliding competition in the world, when the starters' gun echoed on the Dachstein Glacier, Ramsau has no longer been a secret for paragliders, but has climbed up amongst the international elite.
 | | Whilst the family is well-taken care of in Ramsau, there is a great choice of flying area for all wind directions and for every level of ability for pilots nearby.
With the Dachstein Tauern Region Summer Pass you can not only travel cheaply on the cable car up the flying mountains, but make use of many other leisure activities. |
The Flying School Aufwind is pleased to give information and to provide hire equipment.
A highlight of summer 2006 is a morning flight from the Dachstein.
In the school grounds of the Flying School Aufwind around the Gruberhof beginners can learn the techniques of paragliding safely. The approx. 500 year old Gruberstube is a popular meeting point for pilots. The rustic surroundings create a cosy atmosphere for good conversation, companionship, laughter, celebrations.
Tandem flights for young and old are available daily in the summer.
