Winter nature and a snowy landscape can be discovered at best on foot in all peace and quiet. Natural wonders reveal themselves at every turn.
Whether along the well-marked network of footpaths (70 km) on the Ramsau plateau or in the Türlwand alpine region, under crystal-clear skies or to dancing snowflakes, as a trapper or simple walker: encountering the the perfection of nature is wonderful everywhere.
If you wish to head up higher, above the tree-line up to the glacier, to the primeval wilderness "Am Stein", then you should confide in the trapper guide, a local mountain/ski guide, who can guide you safely to and from your desired destination.

An alpine snowshoe walk the fabulous views of the alpine mountain scenery of the Gosaukamm.

Glacier crossing from Styria over the Dachstein high plateau to Upper Austria.
Demanding, high alpine snowshoe walk over the mysterious and glacial high plateau am Stein.
